Ordering flowers from our site ensures that your order will reach us or the family in a timely manner, and your gesture of support will remain acknowledged in the Book of Memories™ for future generations. We only work with local florists so we can maintain the sense of urgency and quality of your selections. We thank you for helping to support the family during their time of need, and will fondly remember your kind gesture.
We respect the sensitivity and dignity that comes with ordering tribute gifts from the funeral home. It is for this reason that we have attempted to design our online Sympathy Store with the utmost respect to the family and the deceased. We hope you find this service helpful during your time of need and would welcome any comments or suggestions you might have to help us serve our communities better.
Condolence: It’s hard to think of many father figures who had such an effect on so many people. Although I like to think that I got to know him better than most, I’m sure this sentiment is shared by all those he allowed into his house and cooked for. Dr Downer “aka Mr Don” will truly be missed but his love is shared through the class of 04 and many others who worked for him and with him at MSU.
Condolence: Doug and I were so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. He was a great guy with a contagious personality. He made a very positive impact on many students, the university, and the Starkville community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Condolence: Prayers for all of Don's family. I grew up in the Acona comunity with Don and John. Only lived one mile from their house and all the kids in the community, (total of about 12), went to school and church together. I learned how to frog gig with the kids in the community. Great memories and Don was a fun and sweet guy. Love to all his family!
Condolence: Don was a treasure. He was a good guy and a nice guy. Being around him always made us smile. His life had a giant impact on the students he taught and advised. Don will have a lasting legacy. We miss his endless supply of stories and still laugh about the Bing cherry adventure in the Okanogan Valley. To this day we refuse to buy fruit on road trips.
