Condolence: Roy was a friend of mine who came into Hillcrest Drug Store and drank coffee with us. He ran the book store while I was at Mississippi Stat as a student. He drank coffee with teachers I had. He always had something funny to say at HillcrestDrug where I am a pharmacist in Johnson City, TN. Roy was a super nice guy. He will be greatly missed by all of us at Hillcrest. Oliver J Nunn Jr. DpH.

Condolence: Thelma and Family,
My sadness at Roy’s loss is difficult to accept. The greatness of a true friend has been silenced but will never be forgotten. If there was ever someone who exemplifies what it was to be a true Christian and friend to all, it was Roy. He was a hard and honest businessman with a soft heart. As one always willing to help, he is now has joined with God in a realm of eternal peace. What I and so many can never forget is how he helped in times of our need. Additionally, for those of us who were a part of Mississippi State when it was more like a family of friends, for me, Roy was among its leaders. If there was a Hall of Fame to honor that group, Roy would be among its first inductees. May he rest in eternal peace and await those of us who might be worthy enough to join him in that eternal realm.
