Obituary for Maxine Eaddy (Bauman)

Maxine  Eaddy (Bauman)
Maxine Wallis Eaddy (nee Bauman), age 77, passed away in her home surrounded by family on Thursday, April 19, 2018 after a 2-year battle with cancer. Born on October 10, 1940, she was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and LaVeryl Bauman and was the middle of 3 children.
Maxine retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) after a 20-year career where she worked in Omaha, NE later transferring to Vicksburg, MS as the Senior Payroll Liaison. After her retirement, she continued to support the Government in a variety of assignments whenever tasked. She received Commander commendations for her work at USACE’s Los Angeles District in Los Angeles, CA; Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS; for the South Pacific Division in Japan; and working for FEMA on Hurricane Katrina mitigation.
Since the age of 4, Maxine was proud to celebrate each day with Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her love and servitude grew throughout her lifetime. She became an ordained minister and served as a hospital Chaplain. During her earlier years, she resided in 6 different states before being called into mission work. She served the remainder of her life witnessing to precious souls in Africa, India, and the Honduras, where she was greatly loved by all who came to know her.
A visitation service at the Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, is scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm with the funeral service directly following at 2 p.m. Robert Buckner will conduct the service . Burial will be in Memorial Park Garden Cemetery.
Maxine is survived by her husband, Vanik Eaddy; 3 sons, David Janes of Mendon, IL, Ricky Janes of Council Bluffs, IA, and Daniel (Lisa) Janes of Webster, FL; 2 daughters, Brenda Volker of Omaha, NE, and Lorinda (Greg) Freeman of Kansas City, KS; 1 brother, Dean (Marian) Bauman of Ames, IA; 1 sister, Irene (Jerry) Westberg of Blaine, MN; 5 grandchildren, Eric Janes, Erin Janes, Jessica Volker, Jeffrey Volker, and Nathan Janes; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition, Maxine is survived through love by 4 sons, Greg Eaddy, Blaine (Kim) Eaddy, Troy Eaddy, and Trevan (Cherry) Eaddy; 1 daughter, Kecia (Kai) Chambers; 8 grandchildren, Brad Eaddy, Tara Eaddy, Claire Eaddy, Jackson Eaddy, Will Eaddy, Rhett (Ashley) Chambers, Keah (Chris) Higgins, Kayli Chambers, Aaron Eaddy, Brian Eaddy, Alyssa Eaddy; and 3 great grandchildren.
