Odie Freshour, Jr., 82, passed away on January 24, 2018 at his residence in Longview. He was a retired plumber with the Physical Plant at Mississippi State University member of Longview Baptist Church and a veteran in the U.S. Marines. He also maintained the water system for the Longview community and a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odie Freshour, Sr. and Willie Maud Ellis; two sisters, and one brother.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann Freshour of Starkville, MS; daughter, Melissa Freshour Evans (Alton) of Kosciusko, MS; son, Larry Freshour of Starkville; and grandchildren, Steven and Kimberly Evans of Kosciusko, MS.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
