Gerda Morris Butler, 89, passed away on January 18, 2018 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. She was retired with Lockport Felt/Weavexx in Starkville.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Margarete Hoene; and two husbands, Charles E. Morris, Sr., and Willie Bob Butler.

She is survived by her daughters, Jo Hutchinson of Albita Springs, LA and Mary Odom of Meridian, MS; sons, Eddie K. Morris (Hilda) of Longview, MS, and Charles Morris (Becky) of Cumberland, MS; grandchildren, Rebecca Drury, Jay Morris, Bradley Hutchinson, Jessy Horton, Erin Carmichael, Joseph Morris, Candice Haygood, and April Betts; and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Mike Sanders will conduct the service. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
