Clara Simpson Williams, 77, passed away on December 28, 2017 at her residence in Pheba, MS. She was the retired Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Blue Cross in Memphis, TN. One of the things she loved was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Simpson.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Jerry Wright Williams of Pheba, MS, formerly of Memphis, TN; sons, Bart Williams (Cynthia) of Starkville, MS, and Joe Williams (Laynie) of Bentonville, AR; grandchildren, Allen Wootten, Sophie, Gracieann and Emily Williams; sister, Bobbie Lucas; and brothers, Thomas Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, and Richard Simpson; and lifelong friend, Barbara Cherry.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church, with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a loyal wife, mother and a wonderful grandmother.
