Chelsea Renee Pace joined our Lord on August 1, 2017. She was 22 years old.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following.

Chelsea was born on July 10, 1995 in Jackson, MS. She was pursuing a nursing degree at the time of her passing. Her goal was to become a registered nurse. Chelsea cared very deeply for family and others she knew and loved. During her short lifetime, Chelsea made many friends and was known to be counted on in times of trials and tribulations for anyone. She became a Christian at age 3. Her spirituality and faith carried her through her life; she was comforted by her faith and relied on our Lord daily.

Chelsea was a loving, caring, and thoughtful daughter, mother, and granddaughter. She is survived by many family members in Texas as well as in Mississippi.

She is survived by her son, Jayceon Yarbrough; her mother, Rhea Ann Pace; her brother, Michael Lynn Pace, all of Starkville, MS; and her two grandmothers, Carolyn R. Kazelskis and Jimmie D. Pace, both of Hattiesburg, MS. Additional survivors include her aunt Kim of Madison, MS and her aunt Kathy of Hattiesburg, MS, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Texas.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Blair Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS for their care, professionalism, and hard work while Chelsea's son was there after her death.
