Joel Elisha Brown, was born on June 27, 2017 and was only 16 hours old when he passed away on June 28, 2017 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Starkville, MS at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Saturday July 1 from 1:00 - 3:00 with the memorial service to follow.

Joel was survived by his parents, William Daniel Brown and Amber Lynne Rutherford Brown of Starkville; one brother, William Isaiah Brown of Starkville; Paternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Brown of Natchez, and Maternal grandparents, John and Sharma Reeves of Meridian. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John M. Rutherford.
