John William Hensley, 77, passed away on February 8, 2017 at Destin Health Care and Rehabilitation in Destin, Florida. He was a Civil Engineer for Bureaus of Reclamation. He received his B.S. degree from Mississippi State University. He designed and built dams in the western U.S.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Hensley, Sr. and Georgia Irene Smith Hensley.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Melba Logan Hensley of Niceville, FL; daughters, Lisa Ann Neff of Tucson, AZ, and Linda Margaret Stonemets (Marvin) of Crestview, FL; sisters, Joan Manning, and Lorita Barefoot; brother, Andrew Jackson Hensley, Jr.; and granddaughters, Lindsey Leaf (Jacob) of Ault, CO and Lila Stonemets of Crestview, FL

Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mantee, MS.
