Obituary for Laverne Wilson Kinard

Laverne Wilson Kinard, 83, passed away on January 11, 2017 at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville, MS. He was a retired Dairy Consultant with the Borden Company located in Starkville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O. S. Kinard and Sadie Kinard; wives, Johnnie Olivia Chesser Wells Kinard and Darlene Lovingood Kinard; and his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Smith (Bobby) of Oxford, GA; sons, Mark Kinard (Tina) and Stuart Kinard (Rhonda), all of Starkville, MS; sister-in-law, Evelyn Kinard of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Scotty Smith (Tina), Rodney Smith, and Johnny Smith (Tonya), Jimi Douglas and Billy Douglas, and Heather Wilson (Saxon), Stephanie Hester (Clint), Heath Walker (Pamela), Austin Kinard (April), and Dawson Kinard; great grandchildren, Ashton Goss, Brason Smith, Zachary Smith, Mackenzie Smith, Rylie-Claire Collins, Sadie Wilson, Caitlyn Hester, Olivia Hester, and Allie Rovenstine; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:00-12:00 at New Hope Baptist Church, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Dan Roberson will conduct the service.

He loved his brothers and sisters and all of his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 323 New Hope Church Rd., Starkville, MS 39759.
