Funeral services for Mr. John E “Little Boy” Fondren, Sr., 86, will be August 23, 2016. A visitation will be at Welch Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, with a service immediately following at 11:00 AM in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel. The service will conclude at Blythe Creek Baptist Church cemetery at 1:30 PM. Mr. Fondren was born in Choctaw County, MS on March 1st, 1930 and went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2016. He was a Korean War veteran and served in the US Army for 20 years. He also retired from the US Postal Service after 22 years. He was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama. Mr. Fondren is survived by his wife Jean, sons John Jr. and wife Lisa, Jim and wife Sharon, two grandsons Clint (Jill) and Craig (Ashley), and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to French Camp Academy.
