Obituary for Robert Hugh (Bob) Davis
Robert Hugh (Bob) Davis
Robert Hugh (Bob) Davis, age 53, passed away at his home on August 12, 2015. Born on October 18, 1961, he was a lifelong resident of Starkville. He was employed by Littrell Construction.
Mr. Davis was the son of the late Dr. Fred and Grace Davis of Starkville. He was a 1979 graduate of Starkville Academy and attended Mississippi State University.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James William Davis, also of Starkville.
Survivors include his nephew, John Parker Davis and wife, Catherine Ann, and his devoted friend, Jan Perkins, all of Starkville.
Other survivors include his sister, Nan Davis Anderson (Mike) and two nieces, Anna Claire Sanford and Grace Pearson.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 on Saturday, August 15 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. The funeral service will be at 11:00 at Welch Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Catch-A-Dream Foundation, 2485 Ennis Road, Starkville, MS 39759.
