Dr. E C O'Neal, 80, passed away on October 11, 2014 at his residence in Starkville, MS. He was a retired Professor Emeritus at Mississippi State University. "Doc" was an avid supporter of all things Mississippi State University and a member of the MSU Coffee Table. Born in Franklin County, Arkansas he was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas and was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Katie O'Neal of Starkville, MS; daughters, Susan Self and Shannon Jones (Mike), all of Starkville, MS; son, Steve O'Neal (J'Nelle) of Brandon, MS; and six grandchildren, Katie, Bonnie, and Brandon O'Neal, Morgan Self, and Alex and Andrew Jones.

Visitation for Dr. O'Neal is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville, MS.
